Perhaps her greatest influences in life were her parents. Her father immigrated to England from India at 18 years of age, with only $20 in his pocket. While working two jobs for several years, he earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering fields and returned for Sat’s mother only when he had the means to support her. They both worked hard to earn a living and raise Sat and her sister. Knowing this story instilled in Sat a work ethic second to none and showed her that if you have a dream and an unwavering willingness to fulfill it, nothing can stop you.

Sat brought her own dream to life when she came to the United States during her mid-twenties. She’ll tell you it all began with a plane ticket and a love for travel. But the real key to her success has always been her determination, outgoing personality and thirst for knowledge. Her drive and dedication propelled her swift rise up the corporate ladder as a manager of a chemical unit for the Amoco Chemical Company. Traveling the world for her job was exciting, provided unique insights and exposed her to events and cultures most people never have the opportunity to experience. However, when she became a mother of two, her world changed again and her family became her focus.
